There is another method for resetting the NVRAM on your Mac. To use this method you must be able to boot your Mac and log in. Once the desktop is displayed perform the following:

Launch Terminal, located at /Applications/Utilities.

In the Terminal window that opens enter the following at the Terminal prompt:

nvram ​-c

Then hit return or enter on your keyboard.

This will cause the NVRAM to be cleared and reset to the default state.

To complete the reset process, you must restart your Mac
