Dies Aussage, macht weder die neuen Systeme sicherer, noch die Alten unsicher. Nur der Verkauf wird angekurbelt. Als ich zu Apple kam, hieß es Kompatibilität und Langlebigkeit, Jetzt haben wir hochpreisige, inkompatible Wegwerfprodukte. Dafür ist Apple aber toll an der Börse aufgestellt. -

Wir leben nur leider in der berühmten postfaktischen Zeit, in der wir als Gesellschaft Papier&Glaube&Gesinnung für wichtiger als Fakten ansehen. Es ist völlig egal ob da faktisch die Sicherheit trotzdem gegeben ist, wenn der Zettel mit der Zertifizierung nicht mehr zu kriegen ist, dann darf das in bestimmten Bereichen nicht mehr eingesetzt werden - Punkt. Ja, ist bescheuert, machen wir aber leider so.

Apple periodically drops support for its older hardware, and customers get left with an increasingly insecure and outdated system. The Hackintosh scene, a community dedicated to running MacOS on unsupported hardware, might help extend the life of your Mac. However, can you trust its community-developed software to the same degree as you blindly trust Apple?
My MacBook Pro (a 2013 model) won’t receive any more love (updates) from Apple as the company left it behind with the release of MacOS version 12 “Monterey”. However, the hardware is still perfectly capable of running Monterey. Sure, it has needed some maintenance and a battery swap, but it’s otherwise in good condition.
